Car tyre inflator recommendations

If you are a proper contract you would get your butler/grounds person to inflate the tyres

Seriously Halfords do a good range. And if it's crap you can take it back to them.

When our previous Ring model (bought in 2015) packed up in 2019 I got one of these from Amazon although I see they're not available there any more. Towards the end I had trouble with the Ring getting a good seal, that was a screw-on type whereas the new one clamps onto the valve using a lever. So far this has worked without issue. Both models turn off automatically at the pressure you've chosen.

Do you have any DeWalt 18V battery gear? If so I'd recommend the DCC018N.

I've got two Ring pumps, one for the cars and one for the motorhome (80psi anyone??). Both do the job reliably.

That said how good are your tyres,? All 12 of ours hold their pressure year on year.

I've used a Clarke 12v one for years but recently swapped over to a Makita cordless jobby..

As I found out, if you're having to pump them up often it may be that they are no longer making a good seal on the rims. I don't know if the seal deteriorates with age but I replaced old tyres 18 months ago and I've hardly had to pump the new ones up since.

Then just do it for her every few weeks. You can pressure check and inflate the tyres for all the cars in the household, she can do something else e.g. check the oil for all the cars in the household.

Most electric tyre inflators are designed to work for about 5 to 10 minutes at a time. The Michelin ones for around £40 are much stronger and will pump up a complete flat tyre.
