No idea what happened here. As I said, everything in the database was fine, so it made no sense that the thread was giving that error. I cleared the server-side caches and it still didn't show. Then I switched from Safari to Chrome and the thread loaded. Tried going back to Safari, and it still wouldn't load there; it was getting a redirect to a broken form of the URL (one using the internal node ID of the thread/post rather than the CUK-friendly one). I used the "Develop" menu on Safari to clear all its client-side caches, and then it loaded correctly

It's not the first time I've seen weird behaviour like this from Safari; it's as if it caches redirects and goes straight there occasionally rather than checking if that response is still valid. I may need to double-check what HTTP headers are being sent back in those cases.

Anyway, the thread should now be accessible, I hope

That's the new tedious chuntery AI filter working. It reviews a posters history and decides if the new post is going to be as tediously dull as the previous ones and if it is it blocks it. Gonna be quiet for you on the forums from now on

If it was the "so how was school" post, it didn't post successfully as clicking on it gives that very same error.

    A minor bug

Even after ticking the mark all threads read link in the The Future of Contracting forum - the speech bubble on the accountancy forum index page says I have unread threads in there.

If you include a URL with http:// instead of https:// a box should pop up to warn you that for security reasons the system will automatically prefix the link with "www.contractor.uk.com/forums" (unless presumably this is already present).

    Notifications (again)

Control Panel - Notifications - Email Notifications setting
If you select, 'Off - through my Message Centre only' you don't get any notifications at all
If you select, 'On' you will get a notification by email (as expected) and in the Message Centre (also expected)

There seems to be something up with the Off option

    Still got this...

Also when I do go in to business there is a post from Mogga on Time for MVL yesterday at 20.04 which is above a new post from John about interviews at 14:03

I missing out all the juicy threads from newbies so can we make this a Sev 1 please?

EDIT : I'm on Chrome and tried cookies, history and chache and no change. Both Business and Accoutning seem stuck
