Captain Tom Moore, 100, in hospital with Covid and pneumonia | Metro News

Captain Tom Moore has been admitted to hospital while battling coronavirus and pneumonia, his family have said. Daughter Hannah Ingram-Moore confirmed the 100-year-old war veteran, who raised almost £33 million for NHS charities during the first lockdown, was taken in for treatment today when he needed extra help with his breathing.

Oh crap. Well he's had a good innings, got his 15 mins of fame, blah blah blah.

If he hadn't done his thing for the NHS none of us would have ever known he existed.

Sadly all good things come to an end.

Surely with his age (and status) he'd be vaccinated among the first?

Maybe he had first doze and this is where "let's delay 2nd doze to get higher number of "vaccinated" people" PR strategy fails...

The vaccine roll out is uneven so not all those over 80 who aren't in care homes have been vaccinated.

(Just reminded me to check on a few people.,)

          Dose.

He may be old but I don't think he was napping.

At 100 years dozing off is perfectly normal, it's the overdozing one needs to look out for...

Flip he is a proper icon. Hope he gets better.

Even if he doesn't he has already made the UK a better place.

Nope, he was on pneumonia medication so couldn't have it, apparently.
