I for one don't think that: taking a day off work, travelling to London to stand in a queue for 8 hours and handing over 100 quid is a 'simple' process.

Filling in a form and posting it, is a 'simple' Visa application process.

Quite apart from considering the risk of having your application rejected.

I remember when Mrs Lucifer went to get a couple of visas for Jordan from the embassy for us. They were quite pricey at the time, £45 each or somesuch. The functionary dealing with the application offered them for free if she'd sleep with him. When she came home and told me I obviously asked for the £100 back I'd given her that morning and was very disappointed when she said she only had the £10 change.

      Ah well, women eh?

        it can be done!

Hello all, allow me to shed some light on to recent discussions. My name is Bob Chickenfuss (real name obscured for legal reasons)

in 2001 I was a student and was skint. I forged fake train tickets to pay for my journey to uni every day. I got caught. Went to court, got conviction for attempted deception (fraud).

Few weeks ago I got caught for speeding in wales and police did pnc check on his radio to see if i was wanted by police etc. The officer on the radio says I have a conviction for the possession of cocaine which i never knew i had! (never knew had conviction, knew i had drugs...!)

Well, since 2001 I have been to usa about 5 times with no trouble getting in on visa waiver. I'm born british and am caucasian if that makes any different i dont know.

2004 in Manchester airport, i get arrested for having 2 passports trying to enter usa again (all innocent, had mate's passport with me, long story). Later that year I try enter USA again on visa waiver, no problem, but when i get thru immigration, an airport worker pulled me up and did a search through all my stuff, bags and wallet etc. He told me it was not a random search. Prob just checking if i had only 1 passport this time.

As for details, everything is transmitted to usa from uk, even your credit card details. They are held in usa, there is concern about privacy, the uk doesnt like it, but the yanks insist.

But after all this, I decide to get myself crb checked. it all comes back clean. how does this happen if i have a conviction for fraud and one newly discovered conviction of class A? i dont know how the law works in this country!

And yes I'm an IT contractor with a past i wanna leave behind too

I think convictions can be erased after a certain time. they wont show up on a basic crb check but they will on an enhanced one.

        What do you guys reckon?

I don't reckon US intelligence will fell too pressured to delete data just because a length of time specified for UK authorities to hold the info has passed, what do you reckon?

Do you not think that your Passport number might cross-reference a record in a database somewhere?

How do you get a conviction for drugs you know nothing about?
Were you stoned at the time?
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

                  Could well do.

But the above list is all the yanks get when your flight leaves.

                      Easy Way In

                      Go to Mexico

Get in touch with bandito's and get a balloon of cocaine stuffed in your ar*s

Walk into the states through numerous underground passages.
End up in Dubya’s office and give him his cut (a good sniff of your ar*e)

Walk out a free man and have your travel fees paid for plus plenty of wonga for a trip to the bunny ranch in Nevada

                      Sorted
                      "Wait, I still function!"
