In terms of tax receipts i've put in a substantial amount, 20% through LTD company, no holidays, my own pension and long breaks during recession and early years of contracting. Also another 10% when i finally wind up my company.

I have a few buy to lets, not illegal but even that's being rigged in favour of rich property developers, don't pay stamp duty, don't pay tax on land, deliberately drive up prices and sell private equity off shore companies.

Now you tell me, are you an anti-contractor if so why are you on this site. Also why are you so afraid to stick up for yourselves and back to my innitial comment "Why are the British such Mugs".

Your problem is you don't like paying your fair share of tax, even when that is comparatively low compared to someone doing the same role as a permie; suck it up buttercup, you've still had it good for 20 years. Stop complaining, tweak your business model and get on with life.
