Winter wave of coronavirus 'could be worse than first'
A real problem in the winter will be distinguishing between those who are symptomatic with Covid and those who are symptomatic with cold and flu.
No, that won't be a problem since even those with Covid who are not near death will be told to stay at home, and those who are near death will be assumed to be Covid positive.
Now the real problem will be Mor Ons refusing to wear masks and burning down 5G masts to prevent getting chips from Covid-19 vaccines.
The main problem with the article is it mentions r rates of 1.5 and 1.7 however even during the height of the pandemic it rarely got above 1.1.
Now also lock down started on 23 rd march.
And therefore the 6 weeks prior to that when there were no security measures in place was Feb and early march which is winter and everyone was inside etc.
And that is the problem with the article, it is using grossly inflated figures to scare people into doing what they are told.
Not enough footage of what it is like in the hospitals is making it out to MSM. Texas is like Italy Mk II at the minute. They were warned and took little to no action.

It will be a problem in terms of working out who needs to self isolate and where the priorities are for testing and treatment interventions. Outbreak management could be very tricky.

In a proper lockdown everybody else isolates, this is happening this winter and there'd better be heavy army checkpoints everywhere to enforce it.

You've heard it on here first....
You are mixing up self isolation (for confirmed and presumed cases, symptomatic patients and close contacts of confirmed and presumed cases) with lockdown (for the general population). An example of where this difference matters is with essential workers. They should have exemptions from lockdown for travelling for essential work purposes, but not from self isolation.
The prevalence of cold and flu will make self isolation much harder to manage in winter, in terms of symptomatic patients who don't yet have a lab result.

Not true. Your "therefore" is there for no logical reason.
Early/mid March was warmer and drier than normal, and certainly not "winter and everyone was inside"

Not true. Your dentist might say that 1.1 = 3, but that doesn't make it true.
