So anyone else had enough of WFH?

Thought I'd love it but I don't...
Nice to roll out of bed and straight to work and I don't miss the crazy traffic but couldn't do this everyday forever.

Would be better if my kids and Mrs weren't here mind.....

Think the idea that I do actually have to work passes them by a little bit. Mrs deffo seems to have an idea now that this IT lark is easy....

Could be worse - could be working from the Job Centre of course.

Just up your meds and man up. The world is dealing with a global pandemic and tens of thousands have died. It's not all about you. You've got a contract, you are getting paid and the family are safe. You should think you are the luckiest man alive.... but as usual you don't.

Could be worse, you could have no job and no income and members of your family could have died.

The thought of commuting to London or Manchester a few days a week as I can't work from home has crossed my mind.

WFH is my preferred style of work... The rest is almost unbearable and I must admit I am struggling from a mental health prospective now.

I feel better than ever thanks to WFH.

I never understood the concept of having to travel to office. Most people sit by the desk whole day and only occasionally chat to each other. If you think about, the whole public transport infrastructure has been created only so that you can chat to colleagues from time to time. That was invented when there was no internet and real-time communication with multiple people at the same time was difficult to be done remotely.
People I know who love to come to office are those who live with an abusive partner or have young kids and control freaks. This is their escape or dopamine.

I think offices should be transformed into some sort of shelters, where people who can't work from home could find space and on-site therapist.

I have being WFTFIL (Wherever The **** I Like) for quite a while. Touring Asia on my bike & playing with cars with a laptop & a mobile phone, wild camping and spearfishing in Okinowa are a far cry from WFH in the UK.

Bland client meetings are equally as bland on Skype or Zoom.

My mental health is suffering for sure and as evidenced by some of my posts day drinking has become the new normal for me. I am lucky enough to have a garden. How on earth single parents in a tower block in say Tower Hamlet's are coping, heaven knows.

But my troubles are minor. Mrs CFL is a ventilation specialist with 20 years pediatric palliative care experience, and is finding COVID tough after a lifetime of supporting terminally ill children. Her eyes are more haunted every day, and she has stopped talking about the trauma she encounters everyday at work. I take this as a bad sign.

We have it easier than many - delivery drivers for example - but that does not mean it is easy. We could have it a lot worse than pushing buttons in front of a screen.

I used to WFH in normal times and it was quite good with a decent boss. If you had an abusive boss not so good. I found pleasure with other than my workmates.

The current situation is different because its almost impossible to do anything with other people. You are at home with your family alone. If I could go to the GYM/Pub/shops it would be much easier.

Once the lock down is over I suspect many companies will continue to WFH more.

Apart from VE day no day drinking so far!
