Short period of consultancy followed by permie work

    Quick questions please.

A friend of mine has been made redundant from his job.

He has some short-term consultancy type work for someone he knows whilst he looks for another permie job.

What would the best way for him to bill this? Seems a bit extreme to set up a ltd for this?

Should I do something for him through my limited company?

    Any options would be appreciated.

What's the value of the work? Less than a grand and HMRC aren't all that interested

Set up as a sole trader. It is simple and you don't need an accountant. You simply register and report your profits.
      I'm alright Jack

That was going to be my next suggestion.

Don't put it through your LtdCo. It has potential to open a huge can of worms.

That's three questions. Suggesting you have one quick one and then ask three complicated ones is a bannable offence.
