The problem is people think it's all about whether they want to take the risk or not. It's not. No-one cares about your paultry little life. It's about protecting all those people you'll infect if you go out while asymptomatic.

You seem to be saying no one cares for an individuals life, but you expect that individual to care about others little lives. I think there's a flaw in your logic there.

Why is the logic flawed?

If we all assume we're infected (whether we are or not) and act in a way to not infect others, then each of us, in our own little way, will help to control the spread of the virus.

Too many people in this country, and others, want big brother to tell us what to do because we've lost the common sense to think for ourselves. It seems, until the government tell us how to act we'll carry on regardless.

As individuals, we are expendable to the greater good of saving millions of lives. But, equally, as individuals we have the power (quite literally) in our own hands to help stem the spread of the virus.

Small businesses, like pubs, can't claim on insurance because the government is "advising" and not accepting responsibility (a common theme with Dom/Boris).
If the government says "you must", then they can at least claim for loss of earnings, pay their staff, etc.

It doesn't, but that's the point of insurance companies - they take risks so that their customers don't have to.

And since the UK economy is built on finance, if Dom says "make it a suggestion, not a requirement", then he's only letting small businesses fail, not the big donors.
