Previous corrections within the index has favoured the 0.618 golden ratio for whatever reason, which takes us to 4500. Which is still better than the lows of 2008. So 4500 gets my vote. The only way for the index to go that low would be for a number of FTSE 100 companies to disappear altogether.
What possible reason could there be for companies to pack up and leave the UK?
