As we plummet under 7000 wiping 10% out of your pension pots this week (possibly peoples biggest lose in there life’s in value)

    I’m calling 5000 in 4 weeks time

Surely your pension isn't all UK based?

Less of a blow for those still paying into a pension, especially if you have more that 5 years left till retirement. Short term loss in value held against better value for the investments you are still making ahead of the inevitable recovery.

Bit of a bugger for those about to cash out admittedly.

Exactly this, it is only an issue is the losses are realised. If you are 20 years to retirement then it is not an issue.

The monthly RSI resistance seems well established already and has been for the last 3 years. Folks think they'd have made a lot of money in the last 3-years, truth is you'd be right where you started, nada.

According to the chart a drop to 4600-5000 seems very probable. In order words, back to where the market was in 2009. If that doesn't hold, 3600 is the next stop. Can you take a 50% hit to your pension in the next 3-4 years? Honestly, get the hell out of stocks while you still can. Better holding onto cash than stocks right now.

The part the depresses me is the the length of indicated pullback. Previous bear markets (2000 & 2008) lasted 3 & 2 years, respectively. The chart below is indicating a stinking 4 year bear market this time round. And all thanks to the madness of central banking.

If we're entering a 4 year bear market that 5 years paying into a pension is like building a dam in the flowing river whilst inflation likely drives upward.

Gather cash instead. Cash generating no interest is still better than bear market stocks.

The lower the better, it won't reach zero. Got cash ready to buy 'the dip', or dips as there is no telling how long this downturn may last. 'Buy when there's blood on the markets'.

If the virus spreads (which seems inevitable) then so will the panic, then all sorts of businesses run into money issues as people stop travelling, going out socialising, supply chain failures with so much reliant on the far east, ... all leading to a global recession that maybe was on the cards anyway with all the boom since 2008 based on debt and the magic money tree.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.
