They said that they're unable to expense meal claims that include meat. So de facto, yes - imagine a poorer employee going away on business. Fortunately judges in this country tend to take a far more sensible view - weaselling around via dictionary definitions tends not to go well. Although there was interesting comment along the lines of "if a person is gluten-free and the veggie option isn't viable then they have a decision to make". Seemed a bit ominous.
Essentially they're saying food on expenses will only be reimbursed if it's vegetarian (and I assume, by extension, vegan). It's up to the employee whether they want to pay for their own food when out on company business.Comment
