Can't get my perishing ASUS Xonar Essence ST sound card to work with my headphones on Windows 7, despite all the drivers being installed, and everything enabled and turned up to full volume.
Needless to say the Microsoft sound card diagnostic tool also reckons everything is A-OK - Was there ever a problem those useless Microsoft diagnostic wizards and tools managed to diagnose?
And of course all the ASUS driver pages seem to be in Chinese, and none mention the Xonar Essence ST (which, a year since its release, is by now no doubt ancient history to ASUS with all trace purged from their web sites!)
I used to understand all this stuff ..... 30 years ago.
I fancy studying it all again.
How did this happen? Who's to blame? Well certainly there are those more responsible than others, and they will be held accountable, but again truth be told, if you're looking for the guilty, you need only look into a mirror.
