Johnson claims NHS will be 'overwhelming priority' for government
Indeed. Tax the young working population to pay for the increasingly aging population until the money sink can't be filled anymore.
Not a single political party can grasp the nettle and reform the NHS.

Sell to whom? It's a bureaucratic mess spoilt by access to sometimes too much money and diktat. The profit is in being a supplier or a services contractor not in owning the thing
It won't be sold not directly, it will be milked. First off are the US drug companies who will be able to raise their prices and hence effectively "milk" the NHS, then there will be US health service companies who will be contracted out to build and run the NHS hospitals. They'll be expensive but will bulldoze the competition in true Trump style, and screw local contractors, cleverly not paying for work done by using armies of lawyers to wear them down.
The US sees the NHS as a huge cash cow, funded by an electorate with no influence on US representatives.
