    Fecking Daffodils

are shooting up out of the ground - did someone cancel Winter?
How fortunate for governments that the people they administer don't think

I think so. According to the Met:

"For the rest of the winter, the Met Office continues to forecast that near- or above-average temperatures are the most likely outcomes. However, there is still an indication that the UK could experience an increase in the number of cold snaps with some snowfall, later in January and at times through February. "

They have to justify fuel tax rises and PAYG driving somehow. They are hardly going to say "Sorry we wasted your money on perks and fighting the brownies and now you have to pay us back"

It's not called global warming anymore - now it's "climate change". When you have a theory that doesn't quite fit the facts, change the name of the theory.

Speaking of which, what ever happened to that hole in the Ozone layer?

Well I think they have covered all their options there:
                Temp could be average
                Temp could be above average
                Could be cold in Jan
                Could be cold in Feb

The Ozone layer has been stolen by terrorists, but don't worry, bird flu will get them!
