We need to change who is allowed to vote.

Last place I worked someone asked "Who are the opposition?". And they get a vote.....

I live in a Conservative constituency. However the sitting MP can't take any more of the Tory nonsense ('a bunch of muppets') so he's off. This is a great opportunity to shake things up.

I can almost believe the Tory vote will fall dramatically.

It may go down from 99.5% to less than 98%

They don't say any of that. Shame you base your voting on utter ignorance

Which is ironic since most of their members are the type you'd expect to smack their wives around.

Exactly. The referendum was not Tory v Labour v Whoever else. It was a question that crossed all parties. If there had been a group put together to discuss and negotiate, it should have been a cross-party group. Because the referendum result was hijacked by the tories, who wanted no input from the other parties, then it was never going to get cross party support.

That. And that quite a few Tories are remainers.

Still I never thought the UK was a democracy.

Sinn Féin are not contesting 3 seats in the hope that Pro-Europe candidates get in. Other parties are also entering into pacts to do the same.

Q&A: Why is Sinn Fein standing aside in three NI constituencies?

One bit of detail on it - in the North Down constituency, SF will be encouraging republican voters to vote for Lady Sylvia Hermon - an Independent Unionist.

For those unsure as to where North Down is, it's heading north and east from Palace Barracks
