    The real tax scandal

    Read here

Skilled professionals are incentivised NOT to work due to punitive levels of tax.

Note - they are doing the honest thing: avoid work, not “avoid tax” by using some of the obviously dodgy “schemes” that should have been rightfully classified as tax evasion, with appropriate criminal penalties applied starting from those who design them and all the way to the users.

Anyone who thinks that this is a good outcome is a fool.

welcome to socialist Britain, where those who can't work, don't, and those who can work, are taxed out of work.

It’s Tory Scum Britain - it was under the “pro-business” Govt that reduced pension allowances so much and it was them who did not fix crazy marginal taxes between 100-125k, introduced by Liebour

Sadly the party in power now that calls itself Conservative, isn't. Apart from being better at balancing the budget than the last Labour administration, it's probably more 'Liberal/ Socialist/ Progressive/ Whatever Lefty' than when Blair was at the helm.

So, what you are complaining about is a symptom of the fact that the Tories aren't running the country.

Under Bliar top rate of tax was 40%, capital gains had taper relief, house prices were half or 2/3 off!

In all of the coverage I note that actual figures are absent. This is gripe from those who, 12 months ago, were told that any pension contributions over £80K per annum would not attract tax relief. Make your own mind up about how impoverished these 'workers' are.
