Are you kidding?? when I worked in CW, no one knew where the stairs were... I think no one was allowed to use the stairs unless there is a fire, it was soooo annoying having to take the lift for one floor only.Originally posted by FranckoWhat is symptomatic of the sadness of CW can probably be noticed when everybody rush to the stairs to get up and be the first at work; .Comment

Apologies for the confusion. I meant the escalators in the underground station. I have noticed that this only happens in Canary Wharf. When the trains' doors open, many people rush to the escalator engulfing the way out for everybody.Originally posted by SandyDownAre you kidding?? when I worked in CW, no one knew where the stairs were... It is brutal and cruel and dark, Rome is the light.Comment

Don't look up for too long though or your wallet will be gone. BTW SAS one can only conclude you are welsh, I've never met someone so obssessed with London, most people have had enough of it after a couple of years, you should get a job with the tourist board.Originally posted by sasguruThirded. The City is a fascinating place, the original site of Roman Londinium and steeped in history. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

I'm a Londoner born and bred (no Welsh roots). You clearly have never been to the City (I mean the Square Mile) as it's not noted for its crime. The City of London police are probably the best in London - I know they get paid more.Originally posted by BagpussDon't look up for too long though or your wallet will be gone. I'd rent a flat in Maritime Greenwich and work in CW - agree that there's loads of choice re restaurants/bars but they're all plastic places devoid of soul, agree that most ppl are armani suited t*ssers, but grab the money and enjoy the cafes/bars of Greenwich just a short DLR ride away.
5 min lunch break??? Takes that long just to get out of the buildings!Comment
