Looks rather over the top, the aggressive way he handled her, but hardly assault. That word implies (or should in a less PC world) that he actually hurt her.

Kind of agree with both of these although it should have been a trained security guard doing it. Throwing someone out of a venue is a skill that requires training to do it. Was she injured at all? He was a bit heavy handed and emotional which isn't how a trained person would have done it.

It wasn't a public meeting. What right do these activists think they have to harass people who have differing points of views to themselves all the time? Someone filmed this in the hope that he would react badly, it's just another set-up.

Do people of a right-wing persuasion march into trade union or momentum meetings and start shouting at people or throwing things over them? I can't remember reading anything about it ever happening. I'm sure she's a sweet and fragrant young lady but she want's us all to live in a totalitarian society where you cannot have your own opinions in private.

Saying that he handled it very badly, he should have blocked her path and if she then used force to push past him he could have argued that she initiated it.

Totally this. They broke into a private meeting and started running amok.

I think too many people watch Jackie Chan & Steven Seagal slapping weapons out the way and assume is easy to disarm & detain/expel a person who has evil intent. I can tell you from experience It is not. In the moment unless you are trained & prepared its scary & very dangerous for both people in the exchange.

Before you mention she was a girl and so not dangerous two of the shortest / slightest females I know are black belts and one of them is a bouncer.

She was trespassing and many senior political & business people were present, as there appears to have been no security she could have been armed with anything e.g. acid. If she had knifed him (there was cutlery) would that have been acceptable? There were also a number of these protesters at the event.

Yes he could have been more respectful but he was within the level of reasonable force IMHO.

Actually a bloke would probably been forced to the floor and sat on until the police came. At least he would have had his arms restrained.

Lol at all the tough guys who say that she deserves it, but everyone stood back when an angry man invaded Esther McVey’s meeting.

Seems like the tough guys only like manhandling when it’s a small woman on the receiving end.
