I worked at Avanade for many years and I really doubt they have the scale to manage this kind of project. Also, they are purely MS stack solution providers, so probably not them.

The Reg poster seems to be under the incorrect impression Avanade is Accenture's only delivery arm (it isn't).

Well the IBM squad drafted in to help a couple of weeks ago don't seem to have made any obvious changes

The IBM directors are still finishing their rounds of golf with the TSB directors.

Then you will have a few months spending millions on lawyers

then after maybe 6-9 month someone will remember you were actually supposed to deliver some software but due to the cost of golf/lawyers there is no money left

and due to the amount of time elapsed the exec now want an accelerated timescale implementation plan.

                so fook up

                then rinse n repeat

Change takes time, when IBM will be insisting on replacing the infrastructure with their own. e.g. database migration to DB2.

I presume TSB are already within the IBM ecosystem otherwise they are jumping out of the fire into a cesspit and will be drowning a slow painful death.

If I read it right the system they've tried to migrate to is already a botch of Microsoft and Unix technologies. How can adding IBM to that mix be a good idea? I have visions of the final showdown in The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly.
Maybe tomorrow, I'll want to settle down. Until tomorrow, I'll just keep moving on.
