Interestingly enough when Santander changed one of my accounts from Girobank to their systems mine and everyone else's was as smooth as a whistle , so my experience the Spanish banks are more than competent its just this particular bank.
Having had an account with TSB before and they were hard work.Comment

The systems should always have been run in parallel at least for several months with a phased migration and the old system shouldn't have been decommissioned until it was clear that everything was running perfectly on the new platform.
However this obviously wasn't the case, what a bunch of plonkers.

I did then hear a rumour some years later of him receiving the bin bag treatment at another bank. I've no doubt he left a trail of destruction.
