I've never said I supported communism.

I appreciate all sorts of things, different religions for example, yet I'm not religous.
what do you mean by appreciate?

(or am I just asking for trouble here?)

I dont personally believe in it or agree with it, but I can see what people are getting at.

Show me the post where I said I was a communist John.
Or show me the post where I said I agreed with it or supported it.

I'm not saying I support communism for the record. You brought it up!
But I appreciate it as an idealism. It never works in real life because the people at the top are always too selfish and greedy for it ever to work. But as a concept - I honestly do think its quite beautiful. Everyone simply doing their own thing - if I bake bread then I can exchange it for veg or for a roof over my head. Everyone has needs, and no monetary value is placed on anything, so all needs are equal kind of thing. Its kinda sweet - but never works.
Our society rarel works for everyone either though dont forget - just to a much lesser extent.

You have described the ideal of communism and then described it as beautiful and sweet yet you don't support the ideal of communism?

SA I know your question wasn't directed at me, but, what makes me think you support communism is your support of Bragg.

He is a political artist and makes his living via his social commentary it is impossible to listen to his songs and enjoy them if you have an iota of knowledge about the reality of communism/socialism etc His constant references to 'the worker' are not about individual freedom or liberty.

JG, just remember, thinking isn't one of SallyAnne’s strong-points.
