      Maybe most unsexist approach would be to call everybody xxxxx. Or maybe assign unique registrations just as we do with car number plates.

        Rather than all this messing about. The bloke can say I'm not getting married if you don't take my name. It's simple, if she is not up for that move on and find someone who respects you as a man.

        I think it's time to start being men here, and stop bending backwards. Now, of course if your surname is cockwomble then fair enough take the misses surname.
