Labour didn't fare so well yesterday. They won't fare well with the votes tonight either

You pick your battles. As it always was.

The DUP will be pleased. Hope the cost of the procedures is charged back to NI.

When's the Brexit u-turn happening? Only a matter of time.

They got the Tories on camera cheering a vote against removing a pay cap for teachers, firefighters, police, doctors and nurses. It was a win-win for the opposition - win the meaningless vote and they show how weak the government is; lose the vote and the Tories become the party that cheered a pay freeze for the public sector.

Or is that the Island of Ireland because it's the same across the board.

They weren't expecting to win, it's about retaining their momentum post-GE and maintaining the pressure on the government... i.e. being a credible opposition for a change.

How is approving abortions something they managed to get past the DUP deal?

It's a matter for England only.

The English NHS is not going to be paying for terminations for women from (Republic of) Ireland, so it is not the same across the board.

I am just wondering if the tab is really going to be picked up by the English NHS or will it be charged back to NI?

Yes. It is not approving abortions. It is approving funding for abortions.
