I think she's right.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostShe has form when it comes to advocating violence:

you will see that she wants to use the gun boats to threaten violence against the migrant boats to force them to turn around and go back to Africa. This is a world away from trying to kill the migrants for its own end.
Countries and people have always felt they have the right to defend themselves against attack and invasion. It is only in recent history in the liberal west that this has not been the case, and the latter are paying the price for their folly.Comment

Their solution (the few lefties still left in the UK as most seem to be abroad) is to welcome them all in (including all those nice terrorists included in their number) then act surprised when we end up in an extremist muslim country.Originally posted by GJABS View PostI think she's right.

These people are paying smugglers to get to they either have money or are promising to pay a lot back to organised crime probably by committing illegal acts to do so. Anything humane we can do to stop the flow is good in my opinion. We need to fix their home countries rather than bringing their problems to our shores.
We can do more good per pound fixing the problems at home.Comment

By creating home grown bombers....as it seems most of the atrocities in the UK have been performed by British born people...In fact it seems that most of the recent attacks across Europe have been by people born in the country where they committed the attack and not by refugeesOriginally posted by vetran View PostTheir solution (the few lefties still left in the UK as most seem to be abroad) is to welcome them all in (including all those nice terrorists included in their number) then act surprised when we end up in an extremist muslim country.

These people were born into an islamic community in their host countries. Had there been no islamic community there, then they would not have been subject to the cultural influences that, worldwide, lead a small proportion of them to terrorism.Originally posted by darmstadt View PostBy creating home grown bombers....as it seems most of the atrocities in the UK have been performed by British born people...In fact it seems that most of the recent attacks across Europe have been by people born in the country where they committed the attack and not by refugeesComment

unfortunately being born in britain is not enough to cleanse an individual of their culture (now would most of us want it to be so).Originally posted by darmstadt View PostBy creating home grown bombers....as it seems most of the atrocities in the UK have been performed by British born people...In fact it seems that most of the recent attacks across Europe have been by people born in the country where they committed the attack and not by refugees
The bombers were radicalised in Britain by other members of their culture. Their reasons are based on their parents experiences. In fact if you are going down the route of if they are born in britain its our fault why should we accept any more refugees?
We haven't had many native cornish or welsh suicide bombers for some reason.Comment

Like the guy responsible for the Westminster attacks recently? This is what makes it difficult for intelligence services and police alike - simplistic profiling is not a guaranteed method and knee-jerk reactions against particular race, religions or countries of origin will make the threat greater rather than reduce it.
Having said that, however, there did seem to be enough intelligence against the Manchester murderer that he could have been apprehended before the attack - perhaps it was thought he would lead them to bigger fish?Comment

Oh Dear. How Sad. Nevermind.
...and these refugees that the alt right on here want to "turn back with gun boats", are they all Muslim terrorists, or are some of them fleeing persecution? Are some of them fleeing bombings?
The far right on this forum would like to bomb all Muslims out of existence. They would like to destroy any country in the Middle East(*). And while they post their vile hatred on here, they struggle to see the similarity between their attitude and the actions they want/support, and the attitude and actions of the people they want to carry out their final solution on.
If all you do is tell people they must integrate, but then you preach hatred against them, how are they expected to integrate?
If you support people who supply weapons to Saudi Arabia, claiming that they are an ally and a country we should be closely linked with, yet disregard their attitudes to women, homosexuality, etc - by supporting the Tories you are saying that Muslim countries we don't bomb are OK to execute gay people, but Muslim countries we bomb are bad for doing the same thing - then how can your double standards be justified?
Don't tell me "they started it" or "look what they are doing" if you're not prepared to accept your own duplicity.
*Every country in the ME except Israel, because Israel is a special case - a country formed after their Middle Eastern religion was almost exterminated from Europe by right wingers who thought it was the best way to ensure a strong and stable future.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

And radicalized by a community of islamist muslims, from a muslim community in Britain, in a British jail:Originally posted by grabri View PostLike the guy responsible for the Westminster attacks recently? How London terrorist Khalid Masood sought help over his urges to kill
"While he was in jail Ajao converted to Islam and started using the name Khalid Masood."
(there is no internet access in prisons, so you can't blame the internet for it).
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Conver...United_Kingdom
"The Prison Officers' Association ... added they were also being made even more vulnerable to radicalisation."
On the contrary, most islamic terrorists are cowards. They only attack us when they see that we are being stupid and weak.Originally posted by grabri View Postknee-jerk reactions against particular race, religions or countries of origin will make the threat greater rather than reduce it.Comment
