They are trying to drive the agenda. The whole objective is not to get the best deal for the EU. It is purely to punish the UK.

      The latest alt-left rumour:

Reports are beginning to emerge from multiple sources suggesting that Mrs May is under investigation by the Property and Ethics group of the Cabinet Office in connection with an alleged failure to declare an enormous conflict of interest on Brexit related to profits of billions of pounds said to have been made by her husband’s investment-banking company in Brexit-related activities.
If true, this could spell disaster for the Tory General Election campaign and end Mrs May’s political career.
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

There is no Property and Ethics Group in the Cabinet Office, which is the first thing that drives a wedge through the article I saw.

There is a Propriety and Ethics Team, however.

I assume this is the pile of horse tulip you refer to?

You can't say that! Unelected civil servants? If the Brexit community knew that unelected people were deciding the future, they would either have to accept they were duped, or that they are spinning a lie that they refuse to accept is a lie.

Darmy didn't say there is a 'Property and Ethics Group'.

Sounds good new to me. No deal of any sort. EU will suffer. UK will be fine.

                Globalisation has gone too far.

Once the UK makes a success of things localisation will be going on all over.

Indeed. We should also leave the World Trade Organisation also. Really show them all who's boss.

The reason there are no leaks? Well here's a radical thought. The UK civil service and government are actually pretty good at keeping things quiet when they need to.

Here's the text of the UK letter to the EU, triggering A50 and setting out the high level government objectives.

And here is the letter from the EU setting out it's high-level negotiating position.

If you read them both, what is striking is not how far apart they are, but how similar the positions are.

Those are the two official documents. Everything else you read is journalistic hype and political spin from both sides.
I'm sure people turn up for work at 9 Downing Street and do something to justify their paychecks. Trusting them and the government will require a lot of faith though. The scenario you presented in your earlier posts is hinged upon a specific outcome of the upcoming GE.

We need to wait and see. The clock is ticking whatever happens.
                    You're awesome! Get yourself a t-shirt.
