    Nastase

Are his comments really racist? I just see it as a general private comment. I don't know his general attitude so this might be biased, but isn't this a fuss about nothing? Serena would have looked much better laughing it off, unless he really is racist.

Perhaps your privilege is getting in the way.

This is 2017, there's no need for any of his comments (either racist, sexist, boorish, or aggressive towards women) in this day and age.

Shouting "bitch" at players on an open court isn't a "general private comment", and why should Serena even need to laugh off comments about her unborn baby? They shouldn't be made in the first place.

Totally agree. It's boorish, sexist, racist and has absolutely no place in public life.

So shut it Nastase, you swarthy Carpathian c**t.

          Probably not a racist

Probably just getting senile and didn't think about how inappropriate his comments were, or how inappropriate his later behaviour was.

Either way, not fit to be in a public role any longer.

His comments about Serena shows that he's racist.

His actions to Anne Keothavong (asking twice for her room number) over the week shows that he's deluded.

His comments to Konta and Keothavong on court shows that he's a boorish, bullying tulip who doesn't like losing (or being refused).

His attitude across the whole sorry episode shows that he's a complete unmitigated racist misogynist tulip.

He should be banned for life, and the tie should be replayed. Threatening or abusive language to an opponent must have an affect on how they play.

He was supposedly banned from the venue, but apparently he was seen wandering around off court.
