Are his comments really racist? I just see it as a general private comment. I don't know his general attitude so this might be biased, but isn't this a fuss about nothing? Serena would have looked much better laughing it off, unless he really is racist.
This is 2017, there's no need for any of his comments (either racist, sexist, boorish, or aggressive towards women) in this day and age.
Shouting "bitch" at players on an open court isn't a "general private comment", and why should Serena even need to laugh off comments about her unborn baby? They shouldn't be made in the first place.
