Its not religion religion religion. How many times do I have to say it. It is Relationship, Relationship, Relationship. Jesus gives you a relationship with the Creator of heaven and earth. If you wanted a meeting with a big cheese in a a global blue chip you would have to go through many PAs, dairy secretaries and a whole lot of hassle and the best you might get is five minutes on the guy's car phone as he is being chaffeured to a meeting in the City in two weeks time. (that by the way is a real life example). The believer in Jesus Christ other hand has direct access to the King of Kings and Lord of Lord, at anytime, for as long as necessary. What do you need? Salvation - you got it. Forgiveness - you got it. Healing - you got it. Provision - you got it. Protection - you got it. Thats the deal.Sola gratia

Yes we get it. What we don't get is your intolerance, hatred and arroganceOriginally posted by ChicoIts not religion religion religion. How many times do I have to say it. Spod maybe you could educate us on why you became a Mason? How did you get involved? What impact has it had on your work life, your family life and your social life.Originally posted by ChurchillDoes this repenting involve a goat? If not, I'm not playing!Sola gratia

I became a Mason to fill gaps in my social education. To make a good man better.Originally posted by ChicoSpod maybe you could educate us on why you became a Mason? How did you get involved? What impact has it had on your work life, your family life and your social life.
The decision to become a Mason was helped by having meaningful discussions with friends after copious amounts of alchohol.
Work life? It opens doors I tell you!(but seriously, no impact other than work know that two Fridays a month I shall be leaving at lunch time).
Family life? Well I can't say it's helped or hindered. Any relationship problems were there way before I became a Mason.
Social life? It has certainly expanded the group of people that I would genuinely call friends. When I'm ready to join a lodge here in Cambridge then I'm confident that this will expand further.
Now Chico, how about a little reciprocation? What made you flee sanity and seek refuge within religion?Comment

Well I have not sought refuge in religion. I have sought and found refuge in a person - Jesus Christ. God incarnate. Man cannot become like God, as Satan would have you believe, but God became Man. In my case there was no dramatic hospital bed conversion, no drug induced psychotic release, no prison cell realisation - what it was simple actually - I encountered the living God and I realised he wanted to be part of my life because he loved me, he created me and has a purpose for me. Thats it. I look back at my wasted years not trusting in the Lord and I regret it. You have not lived until you have met The Life, The Way, The Truth.Originally posted by ChurchillI became a Mason to fill gaps in my social education. To make a good man better.
