First you have to do an integration test which consists of 30 questions about Germany and 3 about the state you live in and its in German so without a reasonable knowledge of German, you ain't going to pass. EU citizens do have it slightly easier in that for the B1 certificate they don't really need to go to classes along with other various criteria (quite a few of my friends who have retired now and have been in the country a long time have only had to do the integration test to get dual nationality for instance.) You also have to prove that you have no criminal record, actually live in the town where you wish to apply and prove that you have an income.Comment

What we are now dealing with is the failure of successive governments to manage immigration properly resulting in ghettos & disorder. If you want to paint that as racist you are a big part of the problem.Comment

As an aside on naturalising in UK you have to swear an oath to the Queen, and optionally to God.Comment

Both swear allegiance! My partner did it in Jan 2015, we went all through this at the time cos she's a total atheist (as am I) but does it really matter etc...
She's from Russia, so anything is better than Putin, and would nominally be Orthodox, which is still God, in the end I can't remember what she did.....Comment

That was most of the point of this thread. Only a member of an ethnic minority could put forward a recommendation that is common sense and implemented in other countries. If you read any posts I actually suggested they were excessive.Comment

People from ghettos will start to call the friends to came to UK, and then the friend from the friend will also call another friend... etc...They feell integrated because they have the support of the community even if they don't speak English. If they speak English but if they don't mix or not have an incentive to participate in the society/culture, will not make much difference. I define ghettos like closed communities where the locals feel reluctant and not comfortable/unsafe to enter in that communities.
If you look at the reaction to the M62 killing they are comparing a guy identified (but not convicted) as a Drug dealer to the 'martyr' Mark Duggan. Both appear very unpleasant and very deserving of their fate with what little I know and I suspect the death will be judged legal. However as he is 'one of ours' then he is a 'Bro' and '50' murdered him.
I suspect this is why radicalisation is taking hold.
We need to resolve this ghettoisation and bring people into the British way of life.Last edited by vetran; 5 January 2017, 15:06.Comment
