A bit of banter is fun and a few digs but make it funny. I hate it when threads just descend into this nothingness of insults. Its so boring, if it was fun ok, but its not. Think when you are posting one of these insulting comments that everyone is just yawning and thinking wtf.

Apparently something like 90% of foreign nationals speak English already anyway: They come over here, speak good English, get good jobs... Immigrants get better jobs than native Britons, figures reveal | The Independent and then there is the slight problem of how are you going to teach them when this happens: They come over here, speak good English, get good jobs... Immigrants get better jobs than native Britons, figures reveal | The Independent
Therefore it's unclear why the government would suddenly commit to greater funding now, particularly as they are also committed to dramatically reducing immigration. Actually instead of just reading the headlines of newspapers who don't particularly like foreigners, maybe read the report that they based it upon: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BxL...HWFlwUWZz/view
This report might also help to clarify some points too: http://the-challenge.org/uploads/doc...tion-Study.pdf

My niece, the most liberal person you could meet teaching in a school where they speak 40+ languages. She says that out of a 40 min lesson only 10 mins is actually proper teaching. The kids can't speak English are given no direction, arent told off so they just get bored, unruly and argumentative.Comment

Pound to a penny the gun was planted like the one Mark Duggan was supposed to have had.
Policeman pal posted this on bookface earlier.Comment

AIUI, the gun that was found in the car of the latest decent, law-abiding, church going, upstanding member of the community, who got callously blown away by the filth, was found under the watchful eye of the IPCC. To suggest this was planted, takes conspiracy theories to a new level.Comment

SwissSwitzerland, they speak Swiss German.
The country is not called "Swiss".
Not all Swiss speak Swiss German. Some cantons are French speaking, and Ticino is Italian speaking.
Swiss German is a collection of dialects, not a single language. Basel dialect is quite different from that spoken in Wallis, for example.
Swiss German is not a written language. Newspapers are in (Swiss) high German. High German is taught at all Swiss schools. (Including those in French and Italian speaking cantons).
