Or, you could grow up and recognise that in the scheme of things the behaviour of the TV tax collectors is not really worth getting into a steam about, and get on with something more lucrative instead,
      You're a governments wet dream, aren't you!

Tell you what - I'm gonna swing round your house to go through your PC and check you haven't been downloading kiddie porn. If you don't let me, I'm going to go and get a warrant on the basis that you 'probably are'.

If I can't get that, I'll just keep turning up at your door and sending threatening official looking letters.

I wonder how many older or vulnerable people needlessly pay for a TV license.

It's now an iPlayer licence how long before it becomes an internet licence, I watch **** all on the Beeb and funding Alan boring Shearers 1 million pound salary for his useless 'insights' on MOTD isn't value for money IMO...

Ooh. What a rebel you are. Does it impress the girls?

The fact that the TV licence enforcers overstep the mark and that if you don't have the means to receive TV it's a pain in the neck, does not mean that paying your licence fee when you are liable is caving in to government pressure. The acts of defiance by blackeye and shaunbhoy are silly - not the acts of brave defenders of civil liberty. So much fuss over ~£150 a year. It's a bit sad really.

Not long. It's how other countries deal with it.

It is not the amount, it is more the principle involved. But I doubt you'd grasp that as you are so self-absorbed and puritanical.
You really do manage to make yourself look like a giant c0cksocket on an almost daily basis. Is it natural or do you consult some manual for inspiration?

Yeah. Of course it is. Because when someone says that it's never about the money.

So which principle do you specifically object to?`

              1. Publicly funded broadcasting
              2. License funded broadcasting
              3. The collection methods and bully-boy tactics

              Or is another principle?

'cos at the moment, I just hear "uh - you gotta stick it to da man", and a whole load of

The principle is that the poor little snowflake thinks he is being treated unfairly but that he should get special treatment and that he has no logical response to a logical argument, but we knew that already.

Wish I could get rid of the TV Licence but apparently the misses just can't do without a couple of SOAPs. Shame there isn't a reduced fee for just the BBC iplayer or different payment plans.

Well that could be due to the fact that you are as thick as a whale omelette, you and that sycophantic dullard WTFH.

Particularly ironic that neither of you are actually subject to this fee, yet seem so keen on preserving it for others.

Any one of the options you outlined are justification enough on their own for being peeved at this anachronistic stealth tax, but, for the record, it is the arrogant bully-boy tactics of the licensing bodies that I find particularly repellent. As, it seems, do quite a few others, both on here and elsewhere.

It is hardly likely to unduly bother me though, for as I outlined in some detail in my initial post, I have worked around it.

You pair really ought to either stick to moderating the forum OR contributing as non-mods. It is abundantly plain that you are both incapable of managing both aspects.

I won't hold my breath though. For such a pair of social misfits, mod status has duped you into believing that your opinions on anything and everything have suddenly been imbued with a degree of relevance that the facts you tediously put forward simply don't support.

You both work in Switzerland IIRC. God only knows doing what. Do you mooch around Reception at Dignitas reminding people just why they are so keen to off themselves?
