I use the word bigot to describe someone who challenges me and suggests that the utopia envisaged by the left and liberal elite is unobtainable. People just don't work like that.

However, the liberal/left wing being a bunch of intolerant smegheads does not mean that anyone calling out right wing bigots is a liberal nor left wing. I am most definitely right wing in terms of economics and society (small state, "traditional" values, capitalism), but I attack percieved racism and xenophobia, and the people who promote it.

I do however deliver my crushing contempt from that well known country of brotherly love & fairness known as Switzerland who are proud to be Bankers to the world's best Dictators.

Railways were built to suit the landed gentry who were funding them. It's no coincidence that the Midland Hotel was within very easy walking distance of Manchester Central station, site of the eastern terminus of the first intercity railway in this country.
