Can't we just put General at the bottom of the forum pages and let it fester? That way the lazy noobies won't post in the wrong part and General won't be the flag ship section that people judge the rest of the forums by. No one will care and won't be a reflection on the forums so anything can go?

We did this about four years ago. The forum went deader then than it is now...

I dont think Bee is a sockie. Just got caught up in General and got mauled to the point she's just flailing around like a fish out of water which she's not very good at so it's become very tedious and boring.

It did?? That makes no sense. General is hardly the shop window of the forums. Very strange indeed. Any ideas why?

The problem with that is that if newbies can't work out where to post something it would still end up in general.

I've stated for years that the solution is to rename general - bear pit and move it to the bottom. Then create a new other section in the professional forums.

As for calling people sockies the level of questions in the professional forums are getting to the point where as I stated in one earlier today - I just give up.

I know 6 year olds with more understanding of how contracting works than some who post in there claiming years of experience

Yes. If I remember rightly, posters dropped into the pro boards more and got pissed off with a poster who jumps on every pro post with 'have you read the Wiki', 'asked your accountant' or thinks he's knows it all when he's just a plodding tech support Northern Monkey. It's a bit like being greeted on the door of a swanky hotel with a down & out dosser!
