Absolutely agree with this. We have had incarnations of GittinsGal, Martin scroatman, Gricer, plantsdullard, FLC, Markymark etc etc and countless others who are nothing but trolling sockies and the mods allow them to pollute the forums. Somebody has o stand up and be counted and TykeMerc did that and it seems the Mods hate that.

...it's been Cojak and NAT who have got 'bored' and taken them out. Be consistent. Nasty stuff 2 strikes then out. Boring tedious stuff, minor bans as & when required but sockies remain, real posters getting arsey in pro, 1,2,3,7,month,3 month bans). Easy peasy, nice and consistent.

For bored read "bored of the nastiness". Otherwise all you suggest is already in place. Not all information is published. (Yeah, I know, it sounds like "trust me, I'm a mod").

Can't we just put General at the bottom of the forum pages and let it fester? That way the lazy noobies won't post in the wrong part and General won't be the flag ship section that people judge the rest of the forums by. No one will care and won't be a reflection on the forums so anything can go?

Since General is essentially "Off Topic Discussion" I always found it weird that it was at the top of the forum list. Should definitely be below the two main professional forums in my opinion.
