This is only to lure us to trigger Article 50. The cost of lost trade with UK is nothing compared to the cost of more countries lining to leave if the deal is so great.
The Germans need us more than pretty much the rest of Europe put together. We're by far the biggest European market for their vehicles and we are a significant net contributor to the EU, something they'll have to do even more of if we leave. Once the German public sees the first post-Brexit bill for them to prop up the rest of the EU and particularly the Eurozone, they'll want out.
The greatest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing the world that he didn't exist
Brexit had no impact on the jobs market, not yet: Claimant Count Change falls by 8.6K, much better than expected. The rest of the figures, for the month of June (pre-Brexit) came out as expected. The unemployment rate is 4.9%, wages are up 2.4% and 2.3% excluding bonuses.
Most of the unemployment data were collected before the June 23 vote to quit the EU, meaning they don’t reflect much of its impact on the economy. Bank of England officials unveiled a package of stimulus earlier this month as they predicted an economic slowdown will cause unemployment to increase.
So before the Brexit vote unemployment was coming down and wages were going up in spite of uncontrolled immigration.

The Germans need us but not as much as they need the rest of EU put together. Giving us a great deal will fuel the separatist movements in other EU countries. As for the car market, Brits still need cars, the domestic production is far from sufficient in both quality and quantity so we will have to keep buying cars from EU. The difference is that the import tariff will be stuck on the price making them more expensive for the Brits to buy.
The net UK contribution to the EU is what 8-10bn/year - that's nothing in the grand scheme of things

Lotus and Aston aside (and maybe the electrics on the Astra), that's a fairly sturdy bunch of vehicles. But if push comes to shove, I'll get a Lexus instead of a Merc
