More Brexit good news. That 'explosion' in hate crime the BBC keeps reporting but no one has actually seen? Probably made up.
Britain's real hate crime scandal
Apparently that constitutes a rise of 48 per cent and 20 per cent respectively on last year’s levels of incidents. But can we engage in some scepticism here? Many of these incidents (the police can’t at the moment say how many) were reported through True Vision, a police-funded website that allows anyone anywhere to report something they either experienced or witnessed, anonymously if they like. No evidence is neededthe ‘Hate Crime Procedure’ of the Surrey Police says ‘apparent lack of motivation as the cause of an incident is not relevant as it is the perception of the victim or any other person that counts’. No clear hateful motivation? Doesn’t matter. Record it as a hate crime anywayComment

The logic is simple (it has to be...)
Because people are sometimes called racist just to shut down a conversation, there is no racism in the UK.
Because the figures used to record hate crimes are suspect, there are no hate crimes in the UK, and there can't possibly have been an increase. I mean, I've not noticed anyone abusing any dark skinned peace lovers or eastern european thieving gypsies.
Anyone who says otherwise is a dirty bremainer traitor who hates the UK.Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Britain's real hate crime scandalOriginally posted by WTFH View PostPlease provide linkS to all these reports the BBC is running about it, or it's just another made up fantasy from yourself.
"The BBC has a “high dependency” on the governing party for statistics, with Conservatives representing nearly three-quarters of all statistics it cites from politicians, according to a report by the corporation’s governing body.
A BBC Trust report investigating the impartiality of the way the BBC cites statistics also said that the corporation’s journalism needed to do more to “go beyond the headlines” and be more wary of reporting figures “straight from a press release”.
The wide-ranging 84-page report, Making Sense of Statistics, used the Cardiff School of Journalism to conduct an in-depth study of mentions of statistics on the BBC, including looking at specific issues such as migration, health and the junior doctors’ strike. It did not cover the period of the EU referendum.
“It is reasonable to expect the BBC to cover statements which the UK or devolved governments make,” said the report, which was led by the former head of the Government Statistical Service, Dame Jil Matheson.
“However, as Cardiff’s content analysis points out, it does make it vital that those statements are challenged where necessary so that the impartiality of the BBC’s coverage of political affairs is not affected.”“Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.”Comment

Also 'hate crimes' could be those directed at gay/lesbian couples, gingers, tall people, small people - in fact pretty much anything can be labelled a hate crime
and surely only those which are to do with where someone has come from have anything to do with "brexit' (if there is any correlation at all)Comment
