It's like speculating what would have happened if Alex Ferguson hadn't taken charge at United, or Liverpool hadn't appointed Souness - completely disprovable guessing and as long as you're within certain parameters, not without merit.
There's also going to be a potential appetite for foreign investment in the UK while the pound is weakened, but we just don't know. Throw in the potential turmoil in the Eurozone post-Article 50 being triggered with only Germany to prop up struggling banks; that would make the UK a more stable option in Europe for investment.
