In what way has it been broken? You have written it several times over but never explained what you mean.

Scotland has not attempted to negotiate. They have merely scouted their options for EU membership in the case they would decide to split from the UK and become an independent nation.

The UK and Republic of Eire has been negotiating about border movements for the last three weeks. They have pretty much agreed that even after we have left the EU there will still be free movement over the border.

The EU has admitted that it can't actually stop informal negotiations, no matter how much it blobs on. These are expected to take place across Europe starting now.

I have posted links to the BBC reports of all of this in other threads. Not sure what other evidence is required of EU states actually doing things that the EU Commission says they are not allowed to.

Other than that it's quite funny that most Brexiters get all worked up about Scotland's possible independence. It's ok to leave the EU, but not okay for the Scots to leave the UK? Westminster's power over Scotland is much stronger than Brussel's over the UK over was. Brexiters should understand better than anybody else why Scots might want to "take back control".

No problem them taking back control, as long as they pay for themselves and don't require English bail out after.

It is ok to leave the EU if that is what the majority vote for in a referendum. And that is what has happened.
It would also have been ok for the Scots to leave the UK if that is what the majority of scots voters wanted when they had THEIR referendum.
The problem is that the majority voted to STAY as part of the UK when they had the choice.
It's not that difficult.
