Very very gloomy, and article 50 hasn't been handed in yet, and it will get even worse the day after Brexit proper when suddenly companies will have to spend a fortune on filling out export licences and bribing officials to get stuff through customs.

I'll hunt around for some good news, I'm sure there is some, Brexit means Brexit and it's going to be great
Misery guts. It will be boom time for liquidators and bailiffs.

So the UK leaving is basically Rhode Island deciding to leave the USA and go it alone?

More jobs for British manufacturing workers so win-win.
What do we export? Marmite is a bi-product made of raw materials msotly imported from the EU.

Yes, I have no doubt the viability of post-brexit Britain will hinge largely on the sales of Marmite.

Brexit's positive impact to rebalance the economy

                https://www.theguardian.com/business...er-brexit-vote

Ignore the negative Bremaining tone of the article - we all need to pull together now!

A poll by market researchers GfK recorded the biggest slide in consumer confidence for more than 26 years in July. The group said people were on average gloomier about their own finances, the broader economy and whether now was a good time to make big purchases such as furniture and household appliances.

A separate survey of manufacturing companies, also published on Friday, paints a similar picture. Manufacturers’ organisation EEF said that the sector’s recovery was under threat as its poll revealed business confidence had fallen in every region of England and Wales.
This is actually great news as it means individuals will be paying down debt and saving money, rather than foolishly spending it in the economy. Hurrah for Brexit!

If people start saving more and spend less we might end up in spiral of deflation :S And it's bad
