Would this be the Canada-EU trade deal that a little bit of Belgium is threatening to block? The EU isn't interested in trade, it's a self-serving political exercise.

Since the UK doesn't export a lot of precious stones, gold and other minerals to the EU it's pretty useless as a "template".

The Canada deal still has quotas and virtually nothing on services.

A Ceta deal would be completely inadequate.

It's one tiny bit of Belgium, not even the whole. Shows what a shambles the EU is and why it takes them so long to do anything.

So if Scotland were to leave the UK and join EU it wouldn't be bullied around in the same way it is in the UK.

you mean a deal with limited tariffs, access to the EU market and controlled movement is not a good basis to start a negotiation for our future.

be fair it would give some country with an economy for the Greeks to laugh at like the Germans do at them (until they realise who is paying for the Greeks).
