Which is why I think we will end up with a very watered down leaving do. Sausage roll and cakes in the office at lunchtime rather than hiring a venue and getting very pissed.Originally posted by MyUserName View PostHorrific but plausible ...Comment

It would be odd to see UKIPers like Farage actually do some work in political office rather than just protesting.Originally posted by GB9 View PostTory and Labour votes will go to UKIP.
You remainers still haven't grasped that this was a democratic vote.
If the outcome isn't exercised they are just opening the door for the Kippers.
They could go the way of the BNP were councillors were sacked, expelled from the party or voted out due to being useless. People do vote out useless MPs even in mainstream parties - it happened in a place I use to live. Labour won and then the MP was missing in action for 4 years. There as his Tory opposite, who had been a local councillor, was literally at every local event two years before he was officially selected.
The only UKIPers we know can do work are defectors like Carswell and Hamilton but defectors have a tendency to defect again and Farage has a habit of suspending people from the party if he thinks they are a challenge to him."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

Does my chunk that anyone in wales could vote to leave after all the money we get.... Just proves, unfortunately, how thick some of my fellow countymen are Im sad to say...
All I heard the last few weeks was we've got to get these foreigners out. And then they go on about someone from somalia or something! No concept at all of anything else and just listen to crap in the media. I'm sure some people I've spoken think exit means we're going to go around with trucks rounding up every non-white, or non-brit and throw them out of the country now. Seriously.
The Ebbw Vale thing is just typical. The place is a tulipehole and like the article said the only non-british born people there are probably just the takeway owners!
Its just nuts that someone in Ebbw Vale could vote to leave. The place has been practically rebuilt using EU money.
It used to be a centre for coal and steel years ago so was essential to the UK economy. Now its just another tulipehole valley town. Will central UK government want to throw money at it - will they bollacks. Half the valleys towns are dying WITH EU money without the future is bleak...Rhyddid i lofnod psychocandy!!!!Comment

Problem is after article 50 the ensuing economic chaos will harm most the demographic who voted for it, but not being very bright, they'll blame whatever scapegoat the Kippers put forward, so they'll vote Kipper anyway.Originally posted by GB9 View PostTory and Labour votes will go to UKIP.

TBH I don't see any good coming out of this - it's essentially the first stages of a lurch to the far right.Comment

Unfortunately as the general policy of both parties seems to be cram as many unfortunate people from around the world into tulipholes & watch them make the area worse (there are many reasons why its not all the newcomers fault) then complain about racism. Voting out was probably the only way the public thought they could protest. Of course as we are importing enough from the EU to have to build a new city frequently maybe they thought they new better than the bremainersOriginally posted by quackhandle View PostYou basically have this going on in most parts of England, bar London. qh
The fact this increase coincides with our membership of the EU probably encourages the connection t general immigration.
