Indeed, but that's a Police issue, not a "are they foreign" issue, or "are they from the EU" issue.

I will address that last part first. Yep plenty of white natural born arseholes in this country. But if the police go into their back yard, kick their door down and arrest them its not likely to end in a riot fuelled by the fear that the police are racist. In those areas its business as usual. They don't tend to be Police no go areas.

Now think about how you would address that scenario in say Broadwater Farm. Most of that melting pot was a problem because we never found a way to integrate the people that came to live there and as a result it turned into a massive problem. Now while we have failed to integrate the first new comers properly and make them feel wanted and accepted, we are inflicting the next waves of different nationalities. For what its worth I actually liked growing up in place where I could find as many cultures as fingers on my hands it made for an interesting life. But it was never all fun.

As comfortable as you think you are. The visceral reason why we are coming out of Europe is because the establishment let places like this happen and forgot to give a tulip about the people that were there before they turned it into a dumping ground.

If the UK border agency were made to assign UK volunteers to help integrate new families and form communities with them to make them feel welcome, then there wouldn't be a situation where you get communities of whatever background stood looking at yet another new face with nothing in common to them apart from competing for a job, a house and a nice life. We need to find the way to integrate the bottom of our society before we go on grand social experiments at the top.

well when we were growing up 30 years ago it was indeed 'brown man = foreigner' and they were rare in my school it was 2-3 / 1000 kids. In my Daughters school now its ~ 50%. That is the change in 30 years. Pretty sure we never voted for that change.

Now its happened we need to live with it. The individuals themselves are not guilty of anything but successive governments are. Don't be surprised if after shipping in lots of people and spending no money on integration then there are problems.

I think you are being over simplistic. I make the point about the white scum because it is much easier to deal with them as the culture. I then move on to the much more delicate issues of places like Broadwater Farm. They are also British but there are massive issues in dealing with the people there because we failed to integrate their parents and grandparents and now have 30 years of baggage that makes dealing with crime much harder.

The racial balance of those photos looks pretty much like the school I grew up in. Im sure if you look at the school as a whole now there will be more eastern European kids in there because the area is changing. But it wasn't posted there to show racial profile it was there to show we do have communities that are at each others throats and its hard to deal with it from an authority point of view.

I didn't vote out because I want my borders back you can check my post history, I state my reasoning quite clearly in a number of threads.

I don't have issues with immigration either. I do however have a BIG problem with my government that fails to finish the jobs they start and as a result makes the lives of many cultures harder than they should be.

But Im just not enough of a hypocrite to sit somewhere probably as far away from Broadwater farm as I could get and deny that we have any race problems in this country. Or that there was a large number of mislead people that were lied to about claiming their borders back.

They are no go if you don't have a reason to go to them, and they aren't interested in you unless you are stupid enough to walk through them in the middle of the night on your own.
