If the UK to rid of all its carbon emissions it would reduce world total by 2%. Even the US is not the major cause of increase. The most effective measure we could take would be to nuke China and India.

This would indeed cure it.

A Nuclear Winter would counteract Global Warming with no trouble at all...

Global warming is all rubbish.

The planet goes in and out of ice ages naturally and this is not caused by cars and planes as they haven't been around long enough. Also a volcano erupting causes moe damamge to the ozone layer than anything we have done in the last 10 years but the pinko commie liberals don't want everybody to know that do they !!!

Global warming is pretty much universally accepted in the scientific community as fact (have a good look at the research). The only ones saying otherwise are those lobying for the big oil companies and/or the neo cons.

The question is what we can and should do about it.

I think everyone accepts that global warming is a fact, as evidenced by changing weather patterns everywhere. But is it as a result of man-made human emissions or a natural part of the earth's cycle? What's the cause-and-effect reasoning? Anyone who's read more (I confess I haven't) care to enlighten us?
