Could always buy Johnson's book: Dream of Rome | Guardian Bookshop where he argues that Turkey should become a member of the European Union. He calls for Turkey to be admitted, “not just on grounds of religious tolerance, but also because Turkey, after all, was where the [Roman] empire survived for another 1,000 years until 1453. It would be good to bring the Turks in, and reunite the two halves of the Roman empire.”

He is, to put it bluntly, a ******* moron...
Brexit is having a wee in the middle of the room at a house party because nobody is talking to you, and then complaining about the smell.

Just how many holes are there in those feet of yours anyway?

Plus she kept going on about things that were only about the Euro or Schengen and nobody picked her up on how irrelevant that was. I'm sure she said more than once about unemployed young people in Greece; I wanted someone to say "please explain how Brexit helps unemployed young people in Greece". And she made the "70 times we've opposed and 70 times we've been outvoted" highly dubious claim. Nobody pointed out the 2,466 times we were on the winning side.

They may not have formalised a final one yet but they do have agreements in place, China is now the EU's 2nd trading partner behind the United States and the EU is China's biggest trading partner. The UK will continue to stand for opening up trade in the EU, for progress towards an EU-China trade deal, and for free trade within the G20 and the WTO.

However, much like the Swiss-China trade deal, it was the Chinese who called the shots, they announced less stringent rules for Chinese banks operating in London, in a push to make the British capital the main offshore hub for trading in China's currency and bonds and Osborne also paved the way for Chinese investors to take majority stakes in future British nuclear plants.

China now represents the UK’s sixth-biggest export market, taking 3.6% of its goods and services. But some analysts characterise Xi’s visit as all one-way traffic, with a grateful Britain buying almost anything China had to offer, from nuclear technology to investment funds for the HS2 rail line, with only a handful of Chinese purchases of UK goods and services going the other way.
Critics have also characterised many of the deals as largely symbolic and spread over many years, diminishing their value in the context of overall investment in the UK.
