Calling people who have and continue to experience these things racist is dead easy when you know nothing like it and never will.
Actually I'm an hour from the border and have only been in Ireland for a year. I've lived for long periods in London, Manchester and Nottingham.

I didn't call any people "who have and continue to experience these things [pressures on services] racist". I was talking about people disliking immigrants.

Thanks for that. I actually googled "John Oliver Brexit" the other day wondering if he'd done something about it yet. I had no idea which side he'd take, but pleased to see he's for reason. Clearly a lot more comic value in the claims, or non-claims from Brexiters.

John Oliver is the one thing I miss since cancelling my Sky subscription. Always brilliant.
Will work inside IR35. Or for food.

So you can perfectly understand the change and pace in all those places. Ireland is like a desert population-wise many parts of Great Britain. I know of a contractor who is working in London, but due to be married and is therefore heading back to Northern Ireland to settle. He bangs on about Remain and how Brexiters are racists, yet has the luxury of heading home to a quality of life which he could never hope to have in London.

The bottom line is it is human nature to live in communities of similar cultures. It's not an exaggeration to say parts of England (at least) have seen wholesale change. There are aspect of other cultures (such as FGM) I would say are total unacceptable, yet any mention of this has you branded as a racist.

There are also several upcoming elections within the EU that have the capacity to shock. We won't escape this turmoil, in or out, but it's going to underline the structural flaws in the EU, if that was needed.
Another silver lining for a Remain vote, although actually it's really not. Still, could lead to change that Remainers claim (Owen Jones and Corbyn spring to mind) can be negotiated. Nothing like an ideology to make a mess of things.

With some much drivel it is hard to tell.
