Hang on a sec, were you not asking about the best trading platform etc just a week ago?
You must be a trading god, having already opened an account and then increased the "holdings" by 1.79%.
I think it's pretty much instantaneous with these online accounts. I don't recall my online trading accounts taking long to set-up, and this was years ago. You pay in with a debit card, so also instantaneous. Can't really see why he'd make it up.

I realised I could add a GBP line to my current trading account (swissquote.ch). I bought about £40'000 worth of various shares, and currently they're worth £40'700.
If I'd bought SIX.BOBBN (yes, really) yesterday, I'd be enjoying an 8% uplift today. If I'd bought them a month ago, I'd be crying into my beer over a 15% drop.
I'm not day trading, and I can transfer funds overnight - there's no clearing bank in Switzerland.

No, you are not a day trading, but you are a dirty spekulant, REPENT!!!
I thought Douglas Carswell was going to get chucked out at some point for telling the mighty Farage to stop being a dick.
Yes. She's very different from Farage and he feels threatened by her. The problem with Farage is that he demands obedience and won't take any dissent, plus she's fundamentally more likable. I don't really know what's going to happen with UKIP after the referendum because Farage has the grass-roots support, but Evans would turn UKIP into a properly mainstream party, not obviously right or left-wing per se, but for the working class vote that Labour has abandoned. I think a lot of the UKIP vote is a conditional vote, related to their stance on Europe. Once that disappears, I'm not so sure. Labour are essentially dead IMO; I can't see them winning back this vote. Things can change rapidly with a legitimate alternative, as in Scotland.
