Unlike people like yourself who entrench a position and try to defend it on every count I take a different view. Without doubt there are many benefits to being part of the EU and even though I am a Brexit supporter I acknowledge that certain macro harmonisation of things like educational standards (do Bulgarian nurses have similar training to UK nurses) CRB checks, H&S (is it safe for a Polish builder to run a construction project in the UK for example) and even trade agreements are of great benefit to many countries (less to the uK as migration in the EU is all one way). I also believe that the UK should "weather" the storm of the Eastern EU states catching up to the point where it becomes attractive for a UK IT worker to get a job in Sofia or a nurse to work in Budapest.
My problem is to do with the agenda of the EU government itself and its relentless pursuit of power. It will take something seismic to tell these people that they are servants of the people of the EU and that their place is not to gather more power for themselves (how many of them have actually run a business) but leave it as it is and make what they already have work and make themselves more accountable.
