It's all lies, don't listen! They won't be ginger because they won't exist - we already know all our knobs are going to shrivel up and drop off.

Except FLC, his is already shrivelled and will just drop off.

This has then been reinforced by the occasional self-interested foreignor.

To cap it all, last night we Gideon telling everyone that the Leave vote was for rich people and the poor would be hit hardest. Apart from ignoring the immigration issue, how bloody patronising.

Even if people ultimately vote to Remain on the day, it's easy to see why they are saying they will vote Leave now.
I was of the impression that all this 'out of touch' stuff was just chit-chat, but the more I witness the more obvious it is. It's across the board too. Here's Poly Toynbee's latest:

Brexit supporters have unleashed furies even they can’t control - Polly Toynbee/The Guardian

And here is it in a nutshell:

But at the end when she asked the hall about the referendum, the mood changed. “We didn’t come to talk about that!” one angry woman said, others agreeing. “We came about parking!” But Hodge insisted, making an eloquent remain case: shrinking services are caused by Tory austerity that halved their council’s budget, more than migrants. The room bristled with antagonism. “Do you want to be governed by Brussels?” one shouted out. “You’re being sold a false prospectus, a bunch of lies,” she said, to no avail. One said: “When I get out at the station, I think I’m in another country. Labour opened the floodgates.”

Toynbee just doesn't get the last bit. Labour, from on high, gave the go-ahead to 'import' a vast number of people thinking they would vote Labour too and, therefore, ensure the Tories were toast. Instead it's alienated its core and made a right mess to boot.

Your last claim makes no sense.

The people Labour imported from Eastern Europe can't vote Labour into government because they aren't allowed to vote in general elections.

If Labour imported loads of Irish the situation would be different.

Correct in terms of voting but not raising the point around enormous amount of cheap labour doing the work of many Labour voters e.g. plumbers, brickies etc.

And it's all very well Labour claiming it's the Tories austerity, not migrants, but that forgets the Labour economic screw up and also that they also promised austerity. And that if we didn't have some spending cuts we would be toast. Or worse still, Greece.

And that it was Brown who signed the Lisbon treaty without giving us the vote he promised us.

And after five years EU citizens can apply for British citizenship and vote in a General Election. Perhaps you're right; it was all an accident by New Labour.

it wasn't an accident in the words of Mandelslime they sent out search parties.

They wanted cheap labour to keep the businesses happy and stop boom & bust (we just got a slower bust).

You assume a rigorous system to validate the electoral roll. There seems to be no checks and anyone listed will be added and given a vote.

This is why we occasionally hear stories about dogs, cats and babies getter no a polling card. Admittedly it is stupid people recording the details on the form but they still get a vote with no checks.

Vote early and vote often as the locals say over here.
