That said the way it ended was quite vitriolic, apparently the PM went behind my back to the IT director and put the poison in. I had no idea he had such a hard on for me.
I must admit I found him a gargantuan cretinous waste of space, and I hated his 45 minute standup meetings, the way he didn't ever write anything down, never delivered, allowed others (permies) to not deliver and was just "everyone's mate".
While he was being pally with everyone, and fooking off every day at 16:30, I was working my socks off most evenings trying to save the project.
So I worked hard, delivered some sort of project in spite of him and the slackjawed permies, and all the thanks I got (after the successful golive) was a knife between the shoulderblades.
You sometimes cannot win, or rather need to define winning as being able to invoice. Find somewhere else to invoice, and keep your head up.Comment

Without wanting to join in the suity bashing, I wonder why as a contractor he was pulling regular 16 hour days for weeks/months on end(equals a rate cut in my book) to cover permie ar$ses, you will get a professional working day from me, no more = I'm not working extra hours on a daily basis without some compo!. A project I was on a while back a request came down from on high to work 9 hrs a day rather that 7.5 (to get an extra days work out of everyone), the client instead of taking the p!ss told all the contractors to invoice for the Saturday to offset this.
How do you pick em Suity?Comment
